In Moments Like This

God the master of time, never gives the future. He gives only the present, moment by moment.

An Advent Conversation: Never Lost

“…it is never the will of your Father in heaven
that one of these little ones should be lost.”

When Jesus speaks of the least or the little ones,
He is speaking about those who are vulnerable,
those whose circumstances are too heavy for a single person to bear.

Poverty does this.
It forces people into tough decisions,
And poor choices.
It is hard to think long-term
when you are struggling just to get through the day.

When you cannot plan ahead,
when routine and stability feel out of reach,
when every choice carries tension and emotion,
you become vulnerable.

Over time,
vulnerability can feel like weakness.
You begin to feel overwhelmed,
exhausted,
disempowered.

But Jesus’ words remind us:
You are precisely the person the Father will go out in search for.
The vulnerable are not forgotten, not abandoned.
They are the ones God seeks out first,
the ones He carries with joy,
the ones closest to His heart.

Lord, teach me to walk with the vulnerable as You have walked with me.
