but You had other plans for him.

If I were Joseph,
I would have struggled.
I would have wanted to do things my way.

Yet it turns out
Your plan for Joseph
was far greater
than the one he had for himself.

Lord, make my heart ready.
May I receive You with trust, openness, and joy—
not only in this season,
but in every moment You come near.
