“And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Joel 2:32
The prophet Joel speaks these words
not as poetry,
but as promise.
And centuries later,
St Paul repeats them in Romans 10:13,
to insist on their truth.
Salvation is not reserved
for the eloquent,
the righteous,
or those confident in their relationship with You.
It is promised
to those who call on You.
This consoles me.
Because there are days
when all I can do
is call Your Name
without clarity,
without strength,
without answers.
And You tell me
that this is enough.
You do not ask me
to understand everything.
You do not demand
perfect faith.
You ask only
that I turn toward You
and call.
Jesus.
In that calling,
You meet me
where I am.
Today, I realise
that calling on Your Name
is not a last resort,
but an act of trust.
And in that trust,
You promise salvation.
