In Moments Like This

God the master of time, never gives the future. He gives only the present, moment by moment.

Day 31 – An Ephphany

Lord,
belonging to You
begins with seeking—
not with certainty,
not with having everything figured out.

I am beginning to understand
that You do not give me the whole picture but
You give just enough light for me
to take the next step
and ask me to trust You with the rest.

The contrast in today’s Gospel is stark.

Herod was afraid of losing control.
He consulted the chief priests and scribes.
They knew where the Christ was to be born,
yet they stayed where they were.
They had knowledge,
but no movement.

The Magi, on the other hand,
did not know everything.
But they went.
They searched.
They followed the light they had
and paid You homage.

And what they encountered
was not power,
but vulnerability.
A child.

There were no answers,
just presence.

I realise how often
I want answers before obedience,
clarity before trust,
control before surrender.

Teach me to be more like the Magi—
willing to seek,
willing to move,
willing to be led
even when the path is incomplete.

Let me not settle
for just knowing You,
but give me the courage
to go where You are.

I am learning that Epiphany
is not about revelation alone,
but about response.
