In Moments Like This

God the master of time, never gives the future. He gives only the present, moment by moment.

Day 50 – See, Judge, Act

The Kingdom of heaven must be proclaimed.
Yet when there are too many words,
the message can be lost on the listener.

This weekend, we concluded our seminar.
The participants left inspired,
equipped with new skills
to serve their community.
It was a rewarding and meaningful time.

As it ended, I found myself thinking back
to how this course—first aid with CPR—
even began.

It started simply.
A young man noticed a need.
He saw the lack of trained people
to treat the wounded,
the absence of those who could respond
in moments when life hangs in the balance.

He observed.
He discerned.
Then he acted.

No long speeches.
No grand declarations.
Just a response to what was needed.

Was the Good News proclaimed this weekend?

Perhaps.
Not loudly.
Not explicitly.
But through presence, care,
and readiness to serve.

I see in this the rhythm of see, judge, act
alive and breathing
within a community that is often overlooked.
A form of social justice
that begins not with ideology,
but with attention.

Teach me to proclaim Your Kingdom
not only with words,
but with our lives as we respond to real needs,
in real places,
shaped by apostolic values.

Is this how the Good News takes flesh?
