The Northeast Monsoon is coming to an end.
February was wetter than usual.
January and February were nice and cool.

Now it’s getting warm.
Warmer.
Hot.

The weather is changing.
How do I know the weather is changing?

Most people would say
the weather here is always the same —
hot or rainy.
But it isn’t the same.

Because it’s caterpillar season.

The festivities are truly over.
The year is beginning to press in.
There’s a slow build-up
of the mundane
and the stress.

And every year,
around this time,
the caterpillars appear.

A reminder
that life is
always becoming.

Like the caterpillar,
we too need
the help of Your grace
so that we may become
what we were always meant to be.
