Today,
through a simple conversation,
I heard You speak —
forgiveness.
Does forgiveness have to be asked?
Sought?
Does someone have to be told,
“Forgive your brother”?
Or is forgiveness
something that begins quietly
within the heart?
If no apology comes,
does forgiveness wait?
Or does it move first —
not to excuse,
not to forget,
but to release
what I am holding on to?
Teach me
the kind of forgiveness
that does not depend
on timing,
on fairness,
or on the other.
