In the darkness,
a single flame is lit.
Small, yet unwavering,
pushing back the night.
This light,
more than a symbol,
is You.
Risen.
Alive.
The darkness did not overcome You.
And from this one flame,
light is shared—
candle to candle,
one hope to the next.
Until the whole Church glows
with Your light.
It is not mine alone.
It is ours –
received,
and passed on.
For we are an Easter people,
and Alleluia is our song.
Easter Thursday
