“Please help me ask a priest to baptise my brother,” an elderly lady pleaded yesterday. Her ailing brother, nearing the end of his life, wanted to be baptised. It would take up my already busy day, and yet I could not ignore her cry. I felt compassion for her, so I did find a priest who baptised her brother this morning. I realise that when I come to You with my prayers, You do not ignore me. If I, in my limitations, could not turn away from her plea, how much more will You receive us when we come before You with our cries?
