I’m home but my heart is still in the small store. It was especially busy because of the fiesta. The teen was happy that his little business was doing well. I told him it was the Feast of St Anthony of Padua, patron saint of lost things. He thought quietly and then asked, “Can he bring back my father?” There are some things we lose that cannot be returned in the way we wish. Yet You see the longing behind the question. Hold close the hearts that still ache for what has been lost, and be for them the Father they miss so deeply.
