There was much I wanted to accomplish today. But there was something more urgent, to be present.

The youth who felt he had failed because his puppy had fallen sick did not need a solution, but an encouraging word. The youth who lacked the courage to step out of his room once again needed empathy and understanding. The youth who had failed her exam needed support and reassurance.

I didn’t accomplish much today. But I hope I made a difference.
