I was hesitant to go for Mass this evening. The excuses, many: It’s too hot. I’m tired. I shouldn’t go out of obligation. Thankfully, You reminded me of Your holy sacrifice. So I went. And there, unexpectedly, I met three old friends whom I had not seen in years. They did not know one another, yet our paths crossed in the same place, on the evening I almost stayed home. Had I listened to my excuses, I would have missed them. This is how You come disguised in my life—in the ordinary decision to show up, in unexpected encounters, in moments I could never have planned. I only need to say yes, show up, and let You take care of the rest.
