“Come and see.”
I visited families whose homes flood regularly during the rainy season. Windowless homes. Homes with structural cracks, missing walls and galvanised roofs with holes. Homes built on slopes and over a creek. Homes no larger than ten square metres. Yet wherever I went, I was welcomed with warmth.
“Come and see” – to enter another person’s reality, not from a distance, but close enough to be welcomed inside. And in their homes, I find You.
